Bio

Attraverso il modulo MATEPLIA, gli alunni sono stati guidati alla scoperta del territorio e delle tradizioni, legate alla vita contadina ed artigiana, del borgo di Rose. 
Le finalità del modulo hanno riguardato, oltre alla RI-scoperta degli elementi architettonici e religiosi caratterizzanti la vita quotidiana del passato, la progettazione di un percorso turistico diffuso attraverso le vie del centro storico alla scoperta degli antichi mestieri, delle piccole botteghe e delle costruzioni tipiche dell’architettura contadina.
Il Progetto, dunque, ha voluto approfondire un aspetto fondante e tipico dei centri storici minori, guidando i ragazzi nella redazione di una vera e propria proposta turistica e di valorizzazione, anche in lingua.

Mateplia: Chi sono

The whole project, consisting in several interrelated modules, has been aimed at knowing the places around us and where we live in, from an historical and cultural point of view.
The starting point was the knowledge and the observation of the cultural heritage of our local culture. Through the direct observation and an active learning , the students involved in the project have been committed to redevelop some areas and artworks within the land of the following towns and villages: Aprigliano, Castiglione , Dipignano e Rose which are some of the many interesting places near Cosenza.
Thanks to the study and the knowledge of several items defining our cultural identity, like the objects used by the artisans in order to create tools and, in some cases artworks, the students have become aware of the peculiarity of the economic, historical,social and artistic value of the places around us.
The learning results have been multicompetences oriented thanks to a collaboration network, among school, families and local institutions.
The students have learnt to classify the examined objects from both historical and scientific aspects. This was the accurate work done in the RECLAMI module , where every object was classified depending on the nature of the material and the state of preservation. After this first classification, students have dealt with the designing of the virtual museum and the reproduction of the examined objects in 3D technology.
Besides that , the students have developed a part of the Mateplia Module in English which has been an important aim of the whole module targeted not only, with the reinfocement of the language itself but , above all, with the competence to use the foreign language in different context such as tourist and working ones.
The methodology used was particularly based on : active learning /teaching, learning by doing ,problem solving and team working made by the students in a process of building their own knowledge in order to stimulate the confidence in their own skills and abilities and their costant improvement.
